Metamorphosis

The discovery of the day was a chrysalis on one of our outside chairs. Girlie found it and wanted to bring it inside for safe keeping, but I convinced her that it was better to leave it outside. We think it might emerge as a Monarch since we found it near our Milkweed that Monarch butterflies and caterpillars love. I know I could just Google it, but in this day of immediate knowledge from my “second brain” or smartphone, I really want it to be a surprise. I think I’ll leave this one totally up to nature.
